  1. Where is TINTEX located?

Our Factory & Headquarters is located in Vila Nova de Cerveira, in the beautiful northern region of Portugal. We also have an Office & Showroom conveniently situated less than 10 minutes away by car from Porto’s airport.

  1. What products and services do you provide?

We supply brands and garment manufacturers with premium & smart circular knit fabrics for the Fashion, Loungewear, Sportswear and Lingerie segments. We also produce coated fabrics for the Footwear, Bags & Accessories, Interior Design, Home Textiles and Automotive sectors.

 

  1. What types of fabrics do you manufacture?

We can manufacture all kinds of knitted circular finished fabrics, but our specialty is clean and durable natural-based fabrics, such as (mercerized) cotton, lyocell, modal, viscose, linen, hemp, and their blends. From compact Interlocks and heavy Fleeces to light Jerseys and never-out-of-style Piqués, our diverse selection ensures we can meet various client needs and preferences.

 

  1. What sustainable practices do you follow in your manufacturing process?

We are very committed to sustainable and eco-friendly practices. TINTEX is ISO 14001 certified, a bluesign® System Partner, a signatory of the Sustainable Based Targets initiative, is extensively audited in numerous and rigorous industry ecological and social standards, and discloses Sustainability Reports yearly.

We prioritize the use of environmentally conscious materials and efficient machinery, minimize waste during production and follow strict safety and health directives that guarantee our fabrics are safe to use and responsibly produced. Additionally, we explore better processes to reduce our carbon footprint, such as monitorization of equipment energy consumption, process automation, solar photovoltaic power generation, use of biomass as thermal energy source, wastewater recycling, thermal energy recovery systems, and many others.

 

  1. How do you ensure fabric quality?

Quality assurance and client satisfaction are our top priorities. We are certified by ISO 9001 and implement rigorous testing measures throughout the production process, from the sourcing of raw materials to the final inspection of each roll. Our fabrics are submitted to thorough quality control test methods to meet industry standards and a QC analysis report is issued for each production order.

 

  1. Are you certified by any textile standard?

Apart from ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, TINTEX is GOTS, OCS, RCS, GRS and OEKO-TEX® STeP certified. We are also a member of the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) and a bluesign® System Partner.

 

  1. What is your production capacity?

Our average production capacity is around 7 ton/day, or 140 ton/month. It varies with the structure, weight, composition and color of the fabrics being produced on any given day.

 

  1. Do you have a Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?

We do have an absolute MOQ of 50 meters/quality/color. Up to 300 meters/quality/color, a surcharge is applied.   MOQs may be greater for some fabrics.

 

  1. Do you offer any discounts for bulk orders?

Yes, we offer competitive pricing for bulk orders. Please reach out to us to discuss your requirements and receive a personalized quote.

 

  1. What are your lead times for fabric production and delivery?

While our lead times are about 3 – 4 weeks on average, they may vary depending on the fabric type, quantity and special steps involved in the process. We strive to provide accurate delivery estimates during the order process and ensure timely dispatch and delivery.

 

  1. Can I order fabric samples before making a bulk purchase?

Absolutely. We encourage everyone to request samples to evaluate the quality, texture and handfeel of the fabrics before placing a bulk order. Feel free to contact us to receive samples of your favorite TINTEX fabrics.

 

  1. Can I get assistance with fabric selection and technical specifications?

  1. Can you supply finished garments?

For specific projects, we can offer garment manufacturing services. We don’t do it in-house, but rather work with valued manufacturing partners to be the one-stop-shop for brands that use our materials.

 

  1. Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship our fabrics to over 30 countries in 4 continents. Our international shipping services are reliable and efficient, ensuring your order reaches you in excellent condition and on time.

 

  1. Do you also sell your fabrics Direct-to-Consumer?

Yes, we have an Online Store where anyone can browse our vast portfolio and easily order our fabrics.
